You There

It’s in the way she moves,
Softly, firmly, quietly,
Like she doesn’t wish to be spotted.
Slipping through cracks,
And disappearing into the crowd.

It’s in the way she laughs,
So ordinary, so familiar,
Yet a contradiction to her eyes.

Her eyes, so profound-
Seemingly an abysmal nothingness,
Yet containing everything.
Everything that needs to be known about her.

Edge For You

(Edge: WPC)

There are days when even the earth spins with more sorrow and even the sky bleeds. I see it in your eyes, the anguish. You look away, trying to save me from it cuz you know I can always tell and that I will come running to share it with you.

I know there are nights, cold December wind chilling to your core adding to your suffering. I will be warm for you, I will cover you up. I will color your bleakness with what little shades of me I have left. I’ll cuddle you in and envelop you in my love.

There will be days and there will be nights. The one in between your smile and frown, in between your sadness and happiness. There will be lots of days and nights. But through it, I’ll stay with you. I’ll breathe with you and I’ll cry with you. In silence if that’s what you need. Because it’s a chance for me to be more than me, just for you.

Lessons Learned

This This This! Deserves a repost because “apparently” the lesson wasn’t learned. I need to re-learn and this time for good. The hardest lessons are learned in the most hurtful ways.

👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

I learned how easy it is to fall for well crafted words, too easily those words can hook around your heart and dive deep. How easy it is to tumble dry the same old words and use them over and over which our naive hearts end up believing.

I learned there is a reason why sometimes it’s so easy to believe people when they say things. We don’t give words enough credit they deserve. We don’t give words enough importance, we throw them around like shooting bullets hoping some of them would stick somewhere, preferably right in the chest.

I learned how easy it is to toy around with words and let them in turn toy around with our hearts. How effortlessly some people weave around words that hold this immense power to obliterate hearts. What they don’t understand is that hearts aren’t as strong as they seem, they can shatter and break so damn easily.

I learned a lot of things, but the most important lesson learned is to not believe people when they say things. That is the only way to keep yourself from bleeding. The same old measured words are stronger than they seem. And when people like me believe them? It takes us a lifetime to heal.

Pain & I

Weekly Photo Challenge

New Image

Maybe my pain has found nirvana, it’s ultimate resting place. It’s never really gone, it can never be truly gone but after crashing into me… inside me so many times, over and over it has probably found its place. I hope it stays. I still feel it there floating around my ribcage, discreetly hiding. It’s not like I don’t expect it to resurface and claim my heart again but I do expect it to be nicer to me. I do expect it to be kind. I do expect it to make me stronger. I have a weapon against it ready though; my words. That’s the only thing I have. I will turn my pain into beautiful poetic chains and hang it on the walls of my diaphragm. I will let everyone know how these scars were made. Maybe pain and I can work together, to each other’s advantage. Maybe we have reached an agreement. It can have a piece of me from time to time and I will weave it into words. Maybe we can make this work. In fact there is no other way, I’m sure it will work, Pain and I.

Broken Creatures

Weekly Photo Challenge: Early Bird
IMG_20141230_173659

Broken creatures are often labelled as selfish… Maybe because they are. In a totally unselfish way.

Once a soul is broken, it is very rare that somebody sees it, somebody fixing it is even rarer. Broken souls are a wonder, they are the most resilience creatures that can ever exist On earth. You see the thing is they are lost but they have so much radiance it illuminates whichever path they pass through. They leave their mark.

Lost where you ask? Themselves of course. Since nobody else can uncover the mystery they are, they themselves try to figure it out. Putting together the puzzle, broken pieces that are. It’s like a Maze within their minds and souls. They are in a constant struggle to find a home where they belong. In the process they become lost, in search. They are forever trying to understand the puzzle, that is their heart. Since nobody else can do it, they have to do it for their self. It’s not an easy task. It requires patience, resilience and love. Love which is often lacking on their part. Love which is over flowing for others but non-existent when it’s time to give themselves back.

They are selfish, yes. Because they are so lost within themselves to ever see there are people around who might be willing to give them love. The Love; they deserve, The love; they need.

So be good crazy hearts, let’s give this love one more try.

Somewhere Only We Know

It’s strange how we always look for a ‘place’ to belong, when most of the time that ‘place’ is usually a person we are looking for, those lasting connections that stick with us for a lifetime. It’s not the place that makes us feel at home, it’s the people or a person who extends us the warmth and love that envelops us to make us feel at home. After all what’s an empty house without its inhabitants who makes it a home. What’s a place to belong without a person who makes it worthwhile a stay there. We all, one way or another are searching for a place to belong. Where we could be us. No questions asked. Plane simple us. No judgment passed. A place meant for us alone, whether it’s a hand that fits perfectly in ours, or a shoulder where our head rests after a day spent apart. Or an embrace whose warmth makes everything alright. A place, somewhere only we know.

Fleeting Moments

There is a reason why we ‘Fall’ in love, maybe it’s because we fall from a place of familiarity to the realms unknown to us before. We fall, we stumble, we twirl, we curl, we feel so much, from nothing to everything at once. It’s a state of change. It’s our hearts falling from a state of plateau and into state of arrhythmic revolting sensations. Every fiber in our bodies falling from a state of sensory comatose to sensory over load. It’s a continuous state of falling from places, feeling high and falling again. It’s a roll coaster. And you know what they say about roll coasters? They are exhilarating!
