You There

It’s in the way she moves,
Softly, firmly, quietly,
Like she doesn’t wish to be spotted.
Slipping through cracks,
And disappearing into the crowd.

It’s in the way she laughs,
So ordinary, so familiar,
Yet a contradiction to her eyes.

Her eyes, so profound-
Seemingly an abysmal nothingness,
Yet containing everything.
Everything that needs to be known about her.

Moon, Ocean and Her

(Weekly Photo Challenge: H2O )

She dipped her toes in the water to check the temperature. Today the water was warm, not as cold as the other nights. So inviting. So perfect. Ocean spread in front of her endlessly, her eyes gazing into infinity, catching nothing but darkness and with it moon- lit like the last flame after the candle has almost completely burned.

Waves, oh the waves. She heard them calling her name, in the far distance. Enchanting. Dancing. Welcoming.

She sat on the steep rock, her toes still dipped in the water.

Wind, oh the wind. She felt it embracing her. Seeping into her bones, sending chills down her spine. Hair at the nape of her neck deliciously stood at its touch. Enveloping her being.

But the moon, oh the moon. She looked up, was silent today. She was expecting it to beg and plead. But there it was, as quiet as the infinite space surrounding it. She’d be lying if she said it didn’t hurt her. Moon and her had a thing, or so she thought. Her heart fluttered, her stomach churned as she kept gazing at it, as if somehow it would break its silence. The water was now up to her knees.

“So we are doing this huh. I see. You are not going to say anything? After all this time. Nothing?

Well no problem…I have a lot to say tonight anyways. Or would you rather have me quiet and say nothing?”

The water rose upwards about an inch, from her knees to her thighs.

“Hmmm, so silence it is then.”

She laid back on the steep rock, looking up at the sky. Mapping out stars, in hopes soon there will be one of hers up there among constellations too- hopefully closer to the moon.

The water was soaking her back now, it was rising fast. She smiled, as bright as the moon itself. So heartily that for a moment stars dimmed their lights to let her shine. She knew. She just knew; The moon wanted her too. And that was the whole truth.

In that moment, peace came. A tear as heavy as the gravity itself fell down her face. Carrying more pain than salt in an ocean itself.

The tide came & took her away,
Orchestrated by the moon,
For it wanted her too.
And so that,
It proved.

Harmony In Sentiments

Weekly Photo Challenge: Harmony

Harmony

One Word Prompt: Sentimental

I believe we can dance,
Under the moon lit sky and warm summer nights.

We shall move and swirl,
While getting soaked in our endless love.

We can dance and forget.
Hold on to each other like moon holds tides of the ocean.
Strongly, fiercely and firm.

We can crash into each other,
Like waves of the ocean crash into the rocks,
Leaving marks of passion and love.

We can gaze and gaze,
Endlessly at each other’s face,
Like a long lost traveler has finally found its long lost destination,
Its final resting place.

We can dance and move,
To the rhythm of warm breeze,
That grazes our skins with its sweet ting.

We can step to the Galaxies,
And move through Constellations,
Every step forward leading us to Infinity.

Grow Up With Me

Happy Place

Happiness

“Grow up with me, let’s run in fields and through the dark together, fall off swings and burn special things, and both play outside in bad weather. Let’s eat badly, let’s watch adults drink wine and laugh at their idiocy, let’s sit in the back of the car making eye contact with strangers driving past, making them uncomfortable, Not caring, not swearing, don’t look. Let’s both reclaim our superpowers, the ones we all have and lose with our milk teeth, the ability not to fear social awkwardness, the panic when locked in the cellar, still sure there’s something down there, and while picking through pillows each feather, let’s both stay away from the edge of the bed, forcing us closer together. Let’s sit in public, with ice-cream all over both our faces, sticking our tongues out at passers-by, let’s cry, let’s swim, let’s everything, let’s not find it funny, lest someone falls over. Classical music is boring, poetry baffles us both, there’s nothing that’s said is what’s meant, plays are long, tiresome, sullen and filled with hours that could be spent rolling down hills and grazing our knees on cement. Let’s hear stories and both lose our innocence, learn about parents and forgiveness, death and morality, kindness and heart, thus losing both of our innocent hearts, but at least we wont do it apart. Grow up with me.” Keaton Henson

Night Drive

Weekly Photo Challenge: My Inspiration

Night Drive

I love traveling at night.. Watching lights in the distance like stars in the sky. It has its own beauty compared to traveling in the day. Something so cathartic about staring into nothingness and occasional night lights. The sky is never pitch black, it has this gray purplish hue, sometimes taken over by pink at the horizon.

Right now I see thunderstorm In the distance as sky lits up in white with every strike of lightning. And the summer air grazes my cheeks and the wind dances with my hair.

Something so poetically beautiful about the night.… I sigh watching the infinite vastness of the sky.

Night has something to say.. So I listen carefully to its silence, the message it’s trying to convey.

I rest my head on the side of the window…watch the road pass by…with it minutes, hours and…my life.

Color Me In

Floating Clouds

I looked at the sunset the other day, like so many other times I have…But this time the whole scene was a bit different, There was a purple hue that I had never seen before on the sky. How it so perfectly complimented the reddish-orange splatter on that huge canvas…I want to paint you like that, I want to unfold your every color and be surprised by it every single time. I want to look at you with awe and admire every pore on your body. I want to know every color that you have underneath that skin. I want you to take those colors and splash me with it. Soak me with your being. Every inch of me. I want to drown in the depth of your colors and be lost…Forever.
