It’s You.

She tasted of gunpowder and roses, just as beautiful and just as dangerous. She was smokes and mirrors. A reflection within a reflection, a forbidden act. She was ferociousness and tenderness in the same breath.

In the moment as we sat on that bench, my body ached for her. She was too much and too little at the same time. Much more than what she thought and much less than what I was making her out to be. She was untamed, unchained and unhinged.

Her pain was fueling the fire in her belly. I knew I could get burned. I knew I had to tread with caution but damn she was worth the burns.
And so I jumped.
To fall into her.

Searching

Connect

Every one of us is searching…for something…or someone…all the time..unknowingly maybe but we are…I think it’s happiness. Whether it is in the form of an object or in the form of a person but we are chasing it. In our darkest moments it is the light of these longings which drag us back to our feet. Gives us a push to move on. To search for what we desire. We are unhappy at the moment so we are running for happiness in the future. Maybe this despair is what makes it so valuable and something to cherish.

Despite of this ideal concept, we are wrong more than we realize. We run and run and run trying to find that one person, that one object, that one goal that we think will make us happy. Maybe momentarily it does makes us happy but soon we realize it is not what we thought it would be. And soon all the glitter and it’s attractiveness subsides and just like that, Again we are left with this despair that we were trying so hard to run away from in the first place.

The truth is we can never be happy until or unless we are happy with what we have today. At this present moment. We have to learn to be content with what we have right now, in our grasp, so close to us rather than chasing something that is so out of reach that we miss what we have close by to us. We have to learn to not chase things in future so much so that we forget today. Running after a future that might not even exist? Doesn’t it sound absurd? This concept that has been brainwashed into our minds, We don’t even know what is going to happen in this next second then how can we allow ourselves to chase after something that maybe years away? Life can end mid-sentence and I know that all too well from personal experience.

We gotta learn and teach our generations to enjoy this moment that actually in all realness exists because it is only ‘this’ moment that is ever going to exist. Everything else is always going to be uncertain, noise and unnecessary worry.

The rules:

  • Thank the blogger, who nominated you.
  • Post your favorite quotes on three consecutive days. Quote can be from your favorite book, author, or your own. Don’t forget to acknowledge the source.
  • Nominate three bloggers to challenge them.

1- “If you desire healing,
      let yourself fall ill
      let yourself fall ill.”
      ― Rumi

2- “..my fingers write
what I dare not tell you.”
       —Kishwar Naheed

3- “So, I guess we are who we are for alot of reasons. And maybe we’ll never know most of them. But even if we don’t have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.”
― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower

4- “When someone is crying, of course, the noble thing to do is to comfort them. But if someone is trying to hide their tears, it may also be noble to pretend you do not notice them.”
— Lemony Snicket, Horseradish: Bitter Truths You Can’t Avoid

5- “She wasn’t bitter. She was sad, though. But it was a hopeful kind of sad. The kind of sad that just takes time. ”
― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower

6- “When someone cries so hard that it hurts their throat, it is out of frustration or knowing that no matter what you can do or attempt to do can change the situation. When you feel like you need to cry, when you want to just get it out, relieve some of the pressure from the inside – that is true pain. Because no matter how hard you try or how bad you want to, you can’t. That pain just stays in place. Then, if you are lucky, one small tear may escape from those eyes that water constantly. That one tear, that tiny, salty, droplet of moisture is a means of escape. Although it’s just a small tear, it is the heaviest thing in the world. And it doesn’t do a damn thing to fix anything.”
— Chase Brooks

7- Do you still perform autopsies on conversation you had lives ago? – Donte collins

8- “All that I ask is that when I die, Bury me in fractions of ash in all of the cities she ever felt alone”- Chritstopher Poindexter.

9- “You have to keep breaking your heart until it opens.”
― Rumi

Color Me In

Weekly Photo Challenge: Afloat

Floating Clouds

I looked at the sunset the other day, like so many other times I have…But this time the whole scene was a bit different, There was a purple hue that I had never seen before on the sky. How it so perfectly complimented the reddish-orange splatter on that huge canvas…I want to paint you like that, I want to unfold your every color and be surprised by it every single time. I want to look at you with awe and admire every pore on your body. I want to know every color that you have underneath that skin. I want you to take those colors and splash me with it. Soak me with your being. Every inch of me. I want to drown in the depth of your colors and be lost…Forever.

Fleeting Moments

There is a reason why we ‘Fall’ in love, maybe it’s because we fall from a place of familiarity to the realms unknown to us before. We fall, we stumble, we twirl, we curl, we feel so much, from nothing to everything at once. It’s a state of change. It’s our hearts falling from a state of plateau and into state of arrhythmic revolting sensations. Every fiber in our bodies falling from a state of sensory comatose to sensory over load. It’s a continuous state of falling from places, feeling high and falling again. It’s a roll coaster. And you know what they say about roll coasters? They are exhilarating!

I Know Places

Weekly Photo Challenge: Share an image of a wall that reveals something about a place, people, or you.

I took this photo when I visited Kalabagh, Nathia Gali, Pakistan few weeks ago. This is the wall of the suite in which we stayed. 15 represents the suite number. While 1908 represents the year it was constructed in.
Wall 1
This is photograph of a random wall in somebody’s house. I liked the arrangement of different stones and uniqueness of this wall.
Wall 2
These are another random road side walls with different advertisements on them.
