Let’s Try

Maybe rather than trying to fix your whole life, you can try to fix it piece by piece. Maybe instead of trying to remove every single bad moment from your memory you can try to add good one’s. Maybe we should try to pile up good things so someday we would over come all the bad things that ever happened. Maybe all we can do is try. It IS all we can do. So let’s try, let’s pile up the goodness and happiness in hopes it would someday weigh on the sadness. Let’s do, shall we?

I will say this, that there is a better chance to achieve your goals if you try than if you sit around and wait for something you want to fall from the sky. I tried that last part and guess what, I sat there for a long time looking up at the sky. Nothing fell.

Beautiful optimism and spirit in your post Zee. Loving your work as always. The opening line is a powerful hook, ‘Maybe rather than trying to fix your whole life, you can try to fix it piece by piece.’ Go Zee! Enjoy your weekend xxx

Thanks Prajakta, Sometimes it’s better to just look at things in balck & white. Mostly because sometimes you can’t do anything about the grey part..Better to just live in the moment and let life take us wherever it may πŸ™‚

Such touching lyrics and words, Zee. You always know the words to our hearts here πŸ˜€ Try. Such a short word, yet one that is brimming with hope and positivity. What’s past is past and we can’t change that, so why not focus on the present and make the most of it. The path to happiness lies in the palm of our hands – it is a choice. And though sometimes life is tough, perhaps we should remind ourselves there is always a new day tomorrow to start afresh and try again πŸ™‚ ❀

      Heyyy Mabel !! ❀
That is such a beautiful comment and so vibrant with positivity ! Thank you so much for always gracing me with your wonderful words. You are so right, "even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there.". There are so many moments in our lives, but there is only one moment where we can live and what we can enjoy and that is "Present".

I loved your comment Mabel. Thanks so much ❀

As the saying goes, “the soul would have no rainbow, had the eye no tear.” Bad times are growing times that take us out of complacency and carve deeply in our souls to widen our ability to love. Very nice and insightful post, Zee. Hugs, N πŸ™‚ ❀

That is such a beautiful saying and so true. Bad times do help us grow as a person I would definitely agree. They provide us with insight and understanding that was probably unknown to us before. Thank you very much Natalie for your such thoughtful comment. I really appreciate it.

Have a great week ahead ❀

Love it. What a wonderful encouragement to see the cup half full, instead of half empty. And I love the quote by R.M. Drake. I believe it. Have you read any of my poems on seeing struggles or sufferings as gifts or teachers? I have written on this a couple of times.
Great video too. I think contemporary dance is great. It breaks all the rules of ballet, yet allows for raw expression of feeling and emotion. I don’t believe we should be led of our feelings or emotions, but I do believe that God has gifted us with them, and they can be intense.
Great post Zee, and you have an amazing week, my friend.

Awwh Satci, Thank you so much for your encouraging words as always. I’ve not read your poems, I would like to take a look at them if you would please leave me a link to them. I always like your insightful posts.

And I’m so glad you enjoyed the video as much as I did, I really like contemporary dance. I think it gives much more freedom to express than Ballet, which to me looks more tightened though very poised.

Yes, feelings are there are for a reason, however intense they make us humans. We should definitely not let them out of hands, they require a very tough check and balance πŸ™‚

Thanks very much for your lovely comment Staci,
      Have a fabulous week yourself ! ❀

I used be very involved in the performing arts. It was my work pre-children. I have practiced a variety of dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, and street/hip hope. Actually, if you take a look at my About page, there is a photo at the bottom with a poem i wrote embedded in it. It’s a picture of me during a big performance we had been rehearsing for a number a months. In this particular photo, I’m performing a jazz dance. The costume was quite unique, to say the least. Hahahahaha. Out of all the dance styles, I think that contemporary hits the emotions the hardest. It’s very expressive and rebellious towards all of the rules and technique of ballet, where the dancer has to continually be up straight. During ballet class one time, the teacher told us that we were all bums that weren’t allowed to move. Hahahaha. Soooooo, as you can see, ballet is very restrictive, although fluid and beautiful.
The links to the three poems/posts that I have written on the topic of pain/suffering/struggles and them causing growth are here below:

Oh wow you have learned to dance in so many genre’s?!! That is so cool Staci, WOW !!!
What is it that you can’t do?! Hehe πŸ˜‰

I read all the posts you sent me the link to, they contain so much wisdom and insight into this phenomenon of internal pain and suffering. I would definitely say that no matter how tough everything has been, there was one thing I gained, that is I became a much better person, much more considerate, much more kind and humble. I would have never been this way if I didn’t go through all that.

But it isn’t easy, the pain never really leaves, it just settles for a little while and claim it’s place from time to time but I guess that’s what life is., you gotta learn to live with it, no other option.

Thanks for sharing your posts with me Staci, hope your week is going well ! ❀ πŸ™‚

Awwwww, thanks Zee. You’re such an encouragement to me. Hahaha. Yes, I’ve been involved in the performing arts for a good part of my life. But believe me, there are many things I can not do. I wish I could do so much more but there’s this little tyrant in my life called ‘time’. The lack of it, that is. Hahaha. I think that’s all of our problem isn’t it? We seem to not have enough time to do all that we want.
I love what you said about pain and suffering and how it has taught you. It has developed character and that is GOLD. Virtue is beautiful, and doesn’t come easy. It comes at a price which is, as you said, not easy.
I’m so glad you enjoyed those posts, and thank you for taking the time out of your day to read them.
You also have a wonderful week Zee.

That’s true Zee. I think it’s really important to move on from old grudges and forget negative feelings from years ago. Our memories fade and sometimes they way we choose to remember something can become inaccurate over time. Yay to making new happy memories. Every day is a new day and a chance to make a small change. 😊

It is tough, but you are showing the rest of us how to do it. You’re always so cheery! I hope to do a bit more blogging and reading now that the kids are back at school (today!) I’m going back to study too – a post-grad in technical writing. I hope your studies are going well Zee. Sorry I’ve not called in so long! I think winter-time is the best time of year for the blogging world, so you may be seeing more of me! :)) fingers crossed. Take care. πŸ™‚

And yes I’ve been thinking the same thing, there is much more readership in winters, it usually dwindles during summer, I was wondering why!

It’s alright Olivia, I know you were busy with kids, it’s a full time job to be a mom, I’m just glad to have you back here. Now don’t go disappearing on us again, Hehe πŸ˜€

Amzing words, Zee! A wonderful insight you give. It is not about fighting the bad, that will never work because we concentrate on the bad. But focus on the good which makes us turn around and leave the bad behind. And the quote is amazing too. I love that post, Zee. ❀
