This week’s photo challenge is ‘Signs’ and I found quiet a few in my photo library much to my surprise so here are the photographs I found.
First three photographs were taken when I went with dad for a road trip to Indus River, Attock, Pakistan, as I’ve mentioned the trip in my few posts before too.
The second sign board is written in ‘Pashto’ which is a native language, one of many, here in Pakistan. As we left this province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the sign board says ‘Goodbye to Khyber Pakhtunkhwah’ .
We passed by a road side Gas station too.
This photograph was taken in Murree, Pakistan. It’s a stunning place to visit. The reason why this photograph is a little foggy is because there was so much fog around and it was winters too. The sign told us the place where we stopped our car for some rest, named ‘Hil Dholo’.
What’s up, I read your new stuff like every week. Your story-telling style is witty, keep
doing what you’re doing!

It’s written in Urdu language, which is Arabic based calligraphy. Urdu is the national language of Pakistan, which originated from the combination of all the different languages, including Turkish, Sanskrit and Arabic etc.
Thank you so much for the appreciation Lita ❤

kool shots, and murree is awesome in that foggy weather. i wish they make a photo challenge of the things written on the back of vehicles, as noone can match our Pak ones, where else will you find,”Jalnay walay ka muu kala”, “Maa ki dua jannat ki hawa”, Horon do rasta lo”, “Kareeb mat ana verna pyar hojai ga” etc. 😛

Lol @Trucks and vans ! Seriously we’d be total winners if they ever have this challenge. Though other people won’t get our local jokes ! 😛
But a really good idea, you should submit it to wordpress guys ! 😀

I don’t know what the long one says either. It’s not my native language. We were in another province. I added the one I knew ‘Goodbye..’. Which is written in capitals.
Also I’ve explained what pictures are about above them so I didn’t find a need to add caption. Thank you for the suggestion 🙂
