To Think

To think,
It’s alright, when it’s not
Is the worst thing to go through alone.

To think,
That everything will b alright,
Is a false hope.

To think,
Memories will fade,
Leave you alone and go away,
Is not going to happen
Just so you know.

To think
So many things,
Is not a blessing nor a cure
But a curse.

To think, To think, To think…

This is a great poem, Zee. I for one like thinking, love thinking about ideas over and over in my head and trying to see different points of view. But you are so right. Thinking too much can be a curse. Sometimes if we keep thinking, we won’t have time or get the chance to do something

And as the other commenters have said, you sound sad. I hope you are okay. I love your header and the cartoon. Very simple message 🙂

Hey Mabel, I agree thinking is crucial for us humans, that is what makes us unique, It was just the way I was feeling at the moment. I overthink things.. It causes so much hindrance. It’s frustrating !

And yes I’m doing much better now, Thank you for asking and such a nice comment ! I did need some feedback on the new look so thank you for that too 🙂

Awesome poem. Thinking can be good but it can also be a very frustrating and dangerous thing. I find it really refreshing to find a post like this around. Keep it up. 🙂

The first thing that came in my mind was the second line of this sher by Ghalib 🙂

    “Yaad-e-Mazi Aazab Hai Ya Rab…
Cheen Lay Mujh Say Hafiza Mera………!!!”

That’s too much thinking, Zee. Poem-wise, it’s a great subject. But the negative tone kind of drags. 🙂 But I see how we can’t always think positively all the time. We got to be realistic.

Thinking is definitely a mixed blessing/curse for me, but I wouldn’t be a writer if I couldn’t think so I have to put up with the bad so the good can poke its head out occasionally.

This poem seems a little dark but I just won’t think about it and go through my day without clouds. In fact, I won’t think about anything that might disturb me. Nah, nah, nah, nah, I can’t hear you. No, seriously, I’m sorry if your mind is full of black thoughts. I hope I made you smile at least a little bit. We all have our dark thoughts and demons that haunt us. Sometimes it’s best to work though it on our own, sometimes we need that hand on our shoulder and the sympathetic words of “I understand”. I hope a virtual hand from half a world away helps.

Haha, It made me smile a lot Trent not just little. Thank you, you always seem to lighten me up 🙂

You have no idea how much it helps to write here and have so many people around to lend a helping hand or kind words or two. Consider your virtual hand reached and much appreciated ❤

To think it’s alright, when it’s not is indeed an awful thing to go through alone. It’s like suffering in silence. You seem very sad recently, Zee. I suggest a shiny new floor to brighten your day. 🙂
