Daily Prompt: Can’t Get Enough

Have you ever been addicted to anything, or worried that you were? Have you ever spent too much time and effort on something that was a distraction from your real goals? Tell us about it.

Who hasn’t been addicted to anything in their lives?
I’ve been addicted to a long list of things in my life (not to drugs or anything like that thankfully). And because daily prompt asked us to share it, I’ll shed some light on my minor addictions.
So here we go:

One time when I was little…okay not THAT little but just enough to be called little(if you know what I mean)
I got obsessed with making myself tall, so I started drinking a lot of milk…once I drank the whole carton in heat of the moment but ended up with very bad stomach cramps and vomiting everything out. Due to which I despised milk for a long period of time. Sorry Mr/Mrs. Cow !

Then there was a time when I was addicted to American Idol (Those glorious times when Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell were in the judges panel) . Even in my final exams I wouldn’t miss it. (My exam would be the very next day but still I didn’t use to miss its episode for anything in the world.)
Everybody is addicted to Facebook these days…So I WAS as well…but to be honest after I found word press I’m not just into it anymore. But before that I would sit for hours on it, day would turn into night, Justin Bieber would have a mustache, Taylor swift would have a new boyfriend but I wouldn’t care. This is the most common thing that happens to us students in case of Facebook addiction:
(Just so you know FACEBOOK “ALWAYS” WINS ! )

I was and I am still addicted to dramas…I watch so many seasons that I have to make a list in my mobile to remember them all and write their airing days with them so I don’t miss their latest episodes. On this addiction monitor, I don’t LIKE them, I don’t just WANT them, I don’t really NEED them either…..I’m at “CRAVING” level ! (I simply can’t survive without them)

Then there is the most common addiction ever and which is the root of almost all the above mentioned addictions, it is INTERNET !!!
This is exactly how it is:

This is “ALL” of us when Internet is not working..just admit it please!

This is the huge BARRIER between me and my real life goals:

Google suggested this cure for the Internet and computer addiction:

But I’m not really addicted to it , I’m I ???

The internet today is the equivalent of the telephone from years ago. When it’s down, we get anxious. I know that I check my email before I check my voice messages, and I also am sure to check my blog before my email! Excellent post!!!

The chicks are growing fast and eating a lot! I’m planning on growing cucumbers, tomatoes, peaches, bell peppers, cauliflower and summer squash. I hope that the chickens don’t eat my crop this year!

They say that if a house is clean it means there is internet problems. *smile
    Brilliant and funny as always.
I don’t mind if internet doesn’t work .. if I don’t have to use it for work or paying bills at the moment. I feel a bit free when it doesn’t work.

For a moment I feel free too but a lot of my world revolves around Internet, Its seems very hard to survive without it. I know it’s now a goos thing, we all should give more time to appreciate things around us 🙂
Thank you Viveka for reading and appreciation 🙂

We all addicted to internet for many reasons, most for connections and information, now when I don’t work anymore.
When I was working – it was 8hrs per day. What a carry on, so happy those days are gone.

You’re most welcome. I still can’t believe you drank a whole carton of milk, lol. In the States we have the gallon challenge, which is drink a whole gallon of milk. It’s pretty much impossible but people still try.

Can’t say I blame you for not liking milk much after that, lol.

        • lifeconfusions says:

HAHA, No kidding? Wow, A gallon is a lot for sure. I’m sorry but I’m not the hero you think I am 😛 I did drink a carton of milk but it wasn’t a gallon, It was 1 or 2 liter 😛

How come my red head hasn’t won that challenge yet, huh? I know you can do it ! 😀 Bring a trophy home! 😀 lol

And is hard to find someone with no fb account, its good though, that you don’t have one. Its a massive waste of time. You are not missing out on anything 😉

Very nice post. Great job putting it together. We have a free internet cafe in my work vicinity. And so I didn’t get internet at home, because I know I would stay up all night most of the nights, and it can just ruin my career and everything else. I have My cellphone internet, that’s good enough too to keep me addicted to internet.

Blog, you may leave it for a certain time but you can’t back away from it once you start it.

Or you can be addicted to pain medications and openly talk about it as a struggle in life and how to move through that with healing. I was once a victim of being put on pain meds for an injury and becoming accidentally addicted to them because they made me feel good… its amazing what the brain can do to hold onto addictions.

There are so many painful addictions, non painful addictions, but being addicted to anything is not good because it means something has control over your being.

Thank you for this cool post.. I was actually waiting for something as big as I just mentioned, so I guess I could say I added onto it 🙂

    • lifeconfusions says:

Thank you Karen, You are welcome to add on to my posts at any time 🙂
I get what you are trying to say, I would have written about it if I could relate to it. It just doesn,t fall into my genre.

Maybe you can write about it and help people with it as you always do ?! :’)
